The dream has always been set for most . nyc3 You grow up watching movies , travel documents and tv shows about this amazing Grand city . Frank Sinatra had a few memorable verses to say the least about New York . Movies have made this city so familiar that people that have never been feel like it is a place they know well . There are those who live there and know exactly how great it is . This isn't about them ! This is about those who have lived and left and returned to New York so many times they can't even remember anymore . This is about me and New York City . This is about my love affair with a wonderful MANHATTAN . We started seeing each other when i was very young . My parents had moved from Seattle to New York when i was a little over 3 years old but it wasn't until high school that i started my love affair with Manhattan . It was my senior year in high school and i had decided that i wanted a part time job . I went on numerous interviews all by myself with nothing but a deep longing to work in the village - with no experience what so ever . I started work at a large record store and it all changed after that . All of a sudden i became alive . My pulse ran with the street life around me . I grew up in New York . I took it for granted as most of us do and then i decided to leave it 13 years ago and never looked back , until recently .

The 7th of November , last year

They Say that Good things take time and that Great things Happen all at once . Yes you may say this is one of my favorite quotes .

There are life changing moments in our lives that we can not pin point when they happen because we have NO IDEA they are happening . It is only with passing of time that we tie those insipid events and see them for what they truly are – life changing moments ! Defining moments .

One year ago today , on a very simple evening i attended a birthday gathering at a restaurant , followed by two other locations with the same people , ending the night at some sorta of an excuse for a club .

I noticed him , but i never saw him coming .  He was tall , cute and i didn’t even notice having been caught up in my own personal drama . He hadn’t planned on moving on with us to the third location but he did and he spilled an alcoholic beverage on me . He apologized and i wiped of the liquid off .

Time passed and life happened and we both moved on . One , two , ten months passed and i fell in love for the very first time in my life with him .

My luck is as simple as this – he saw me coming .
