Leaving the City

The dream has always been set for most . nyc3 You grow up watching movies , travel documents and tv shows about this amazing Grand city . Frank Sinatra had a few memorable verses to say the least about New York . Movies have made this city so familiar that people that have never been feel like it is a place they know well . There are those who live there and know exactly how great it is . This isn't about them ! This is about those who have lived and left and returned to New York so many times they can't even remember anymore . This is about me and New York City . This is about my love affair with a wonderful MANHATTAN . We started seeing each other when i was very young . My parents had moved from Seattle to New York when i was a little over 3 years old but it wasn't until high school that i started my love affair with Manhattan . It was my senior year in high school and i had decided that i wanted a part time job . I went on numerous interviews all by myself with nothing but a deep longing to work in the village - with no experience what so ever . I started work at a large record store and it all changed after that . All of a sudden i became alive . My pulse ran with the street life around me . I grew up in New York .
